Architecting serverless software in the cloud (AWS/Azure): Lessons learned

A warm welcome to our tech meetup on November 30, 2022.

Date and time

About the event
The theme of the evening will be serverless architecture in the cloud. We look forward to sharing our own experiences of building serverless cloud software for clients as well as ourselves (we’re crazy enough to develop our own intranet, hour tracking, and more).

After our short talks we hope to hear your own stories of building serverless software in the cloud (or other topics). Over some pizza and beverages of course!

The meetup will take place at our office located at Hämeentie 19 in Sörnäinen. One of us will be at the main entrance just by Sushibar+Wine to let you in. In case you arrive a little late or no one is there, a number will be posted at the door. Give it a ring and we’ll be right downstairs!

17.30 – Doors open and registration
18.00 – Welcome and introduction
18.05 – Soft landing on serverless: using Chalice framework to deploy REST APIs on AWS Lambda by Juha Suokas
18.45 – Serverless SQL in Azure Synapse Analytics for data warehousing by Thomas Lauronen
19.25 –> Food, drinks, networking

After the talks there will be time for open discussion and general mingling around. As is customary, pizza and beverages will be on the house.
